Making a difference in GA DFCS Region 2
The Division of Family and Children Services recognizes that the issues their clients face are vast, complex, and multi-faceted. For this reason, DFCS seeks to form relationships with community partners to help the division meet the needs of vulnerable families.
Road2home is a partnership between Region 2 DFCS and our local private child placing agencies who recruit and approve foster homes in the region. Our goal through this partnership is to provide an adequate number of homes for children in Region 2 custody within Region 2, and hopefully within their home counties.
The collaborative also shares recruitment efforts, training classes, and onboarding services to potential foster/adoptive families to streamline the approval process and expedite applicants who want to serve teenagers and large sibling groups.
